Eight datasets from one filings pipeline
Each one is parsed from the filings and agency releases themselves, linked back to the source document, and stamped with the moment it became public.
Offerings & dilution
Every 424B prospectus, S-1 and S-3 shelf, ATM program, PIPE, Form D and S-8, parsed for size, price, discount to the last sale, warrants and dilution as a share of the stock outstanding. Plus an overhang view: shelf left, open ATMs, live warrants and 90-day raises.
Insider intelligence
Form 4 trades classed routine or opportunistic (the Cohen–Malloy–Pomorski method), with ownership after the trade and 10b5-1 flags, and ESPP-style plan buys flagged so you can leave them out. Form 144 sales tracked from notice to execution, and 10b5-1 plan adoptions and terminations from 10-Qs and 10-Ks.
Corporate events
Late filings, abrupt executive departures, auditor resignations, restructurings, terminated deals, tender offers, 13D/G stake changes with % deltas, delistings, going-dark filings, merger votes, spin-offs, vote results, SEC comment letters and material 6-Ks.
Calendars
Forward earnings dates, estimated from each company's history and confirmed from its own announcement, with date changes flagged. IPOs and lock-up expirations, FDA PDUFA dates and advisory committees, shareholder meetings, ex-dividends, and the macro calendar: BLS, BEA and Census releases, FOMC meetings and Treasury auctions.
13F ownership
Institutional holders for any symbol, with quarter-over-quarter new, added, reduced and exited counts and institutional ownership %, plus every manager's 13F portfolio.
Fails-to-deliver
The SEC's fails-to-deliver data per symbol and settlement day, as a percent of shares outstanding, with a threshold-like flag and a spike event when a new file lands.
Point-in-time fundamentals
As-filed fundamentals from the SEC's Financial Statement Data Sets: TTM revenue, EBITDA, free cash flow, net debt, margins, returns and leverage, each row stamped with the moment it became public.
Filing text changes
How much each 10-K and 10-Q changed from the last comparable report, in the risk factors, the MD&A and overall, and which risk-factor headings are new.
Built for backtests: every row knows when it became public
Look-ahead bias is the quiet killer of backtests: a strategy "sees" a filing hours or weeks
before anyone could have. ByteTrader stamps every event, filing, calendar entry and
fundamentals row with knownAt, the first moment it was public. Ask for any
dataset asOf a moment in time and you get only what was knowable then.
EDGAR's release hours applied: a filing accepted after 5:30 pm ET (10 pm for Forms 3, 4 and 5) counts from 6:00 am ET the next business day, unless our live feed saw it sooner
Fundamentals as filed, from the SEC's Financial Statement Data Sets, so later restatements don't leak into the past
Amendments kept as their own rows and linked to the original
"Next earnings date as known on this bar", from the calendar's own history
SEC filing events back to 2016, with bulk NDJSON export for research
- Thu 6:12 pm ET EDGAR accepts the filing after its 5:30 pm cutoff, so it's dated the next business day.
- Fri 6:00 am ET
knownAt: the official release. AnasOfquery for an earlier moment doesn't return it. (If our live feed saw it sooner, knownAtis that earlier moment.) - Fri 9:30 am ET Your backtest's first bar that can act on it.
From EDGAR to your agent
ByteTrader watches EDGAR for the forms that move stocks: 8-Ks, Form 4s, 424B prospectuses, 13D/G stakes, late-filing notices, Form 144s and Form Ds, within the SEC's fair-access rate limit. Each filing is classified, parsed and pushed to the app, your strategies, the SignalR stream and your webhooks.
In the desktop app
Market Calendar: earnings (estimated vs confirmed), economic releases, IPOs and lock-ups, FDA dates, shareholder meetings and ex-dividends
SEC Filings: every corporate-event type, filtered by type, severity or watchlist
Insiders: transactions, pending Form 144 sales and 10b5-1 plans, with open-market and opportunistic filters
Ownership: 13F holders quarter over quarter, and fails-to-deliver for a symbol
Chart markers: earnings, dividends, splits, offerings and insider trades on the price chart
Strategies: read point-in-time fundamentals, events and the calendar in backtests and live, and optionally hold new entries around high-impact macro releases
40 event types, honestly labeled
Every type streams into the app and your strategies, and to your webhooks on PRO. Types marked informational are delivered as information: ByteTrader's trade-signal model doesn't score them. New types stay informational until they pass validation.

One place instead of six subscriptions
Traders who code usually piece this together from separate products: a filings API, a dilution tracker, an insider screener, a 13F site, an earnings-date feed and an economic calendar, each with its own format, its own login and its own bill.
ByteTrader puts them in the app you already trade from, in one format, wired into your strategies and backtests, at no extra cost. The Data API is there when you want the same data in your own code.
Where it comes from
Public-domain US government data, parsed and classified by ByteTrader:
- SEC EDGAR: filings, Form 13F and Financial Statement Data Sets, fails-to-deliver
- Bureau of Labor Statistics, Bureau of Economic Analysis and Census Bureau: release schedules
- Federal Reserve: FOMC meetings, statements and minutes
- U.S. Treasury (FiscalData): auction schedules
- Federal Register: FDA advisory committee meetings
Every row carries its source and links back to the original filing. We don't resell vendor feeds in these datasets, and CUSIPs are never published.
Market data questions
Market data is provided for information only. It is not investment advice, and nothing here promises any trading result. Filings can contain errors and parsed values can be wrong; check the source filing before acting on a number.
